A different category entirely
Neurotoxin quiets a muscle. Dermal filler replaces volume. This treatment does neither — it aims to change the quality of the skin itself.
The product, named
The product used is Ariessence Pure PDGF+, a topical serum produced by Cellese Regenerative Therapeutics. It is applied to the skin immediately after microneedling. It is not injected. There is no blood draw.
What a growth factor is
Growth factors are signaling proteins. Platelet-derived growth factor, PDGF, is one of the principal signals the body releases at a wound site to recruit repair cells, stimulate new collagen and support the formation of small blood vessels. It is a large part of how skin heals itself.
Why it is paired with microneedling
Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels through the outer layer of the skin. Ariessence Pure PDGF+ is applied to the surface immediately afterwards.
Areas it is used for
It is used to support skin quality and texture in areas where volume treatments are not the right tool: thin skin under the eye, the fine crosshatching of the cheek, the neck and décolletage, and skin that has lost its bounce after weight change or sun exposure. Response varies from person to person.
Two honest caveats
First, any change builds slowly rather than appearing. Second, this is a cosmetic serum paired with microneedling, not a substitute for volume replacement or resurfacing. Individual results vary and no specific outcome is promised.

- You want a visible change within two weeks. This is not that treatment.

Consultation and review
An unhurried conversation about your concerns, history and goals. Your history and photographs are documented before treatment begins.

Skin assessment and photographs
Robbie reviews the skin at your appointment under good light and takes photos from a fixed angle for comparison. Skin quality, laxity, crepiness and the areas that most bother you drive the plan.

Planning the series
Planned as a course, usually three sessions four to six weeks apart, with the honest expectation of what each will and will not deliver.

Preparation
Skin is thoroughly cleansed and a topical anesthetic applied. A sterile field is established on site.

Microneedling
Controlled micro-channels are created across the treatment area at depths chosen for your skin and concern.

Immediately after microneedling, Ariessence Pure PDGF+ is applied to the treated skin.

Slow, then noticeable
Immediately afterwards
Immediately afterwards the skin is pink, warm and slightly tight, similar to a mild sunburn. Expect that flush to last twenty-four to forty-eight hours, with some flaking on days three to five.
The first twenty-four hours
For the first twenty-four hours: no makeup on treated skin, no strenuous exercise, no saunas or swimming pools, and nothing active on the skin — no retinoids, acids or exfoliants. Cleanse gently with lukewarm water. Use a bland moisturizer and, from the following morning, a mineral sunscreen without exception.
Then a quiet stretch
Then very little happens for a while, and that is expected. Collagen remodeling is slow. Where people respond, the change tends to be gradual — usually noticed over one to three months rather than within days.
Photograph it
Because the change is gradual, it is easy to miss in your own mirror. Standardized photographs at the start of the course are strongly recommended — they are frequently the only way people believe their own result.

Travel beyond it needs advance approval and may carry a fee, which covers travel, setup and sterile breakdown and is disclosed in writing before the appointment is confirmed — never added afterwards.

Risks and honest limits
Microneedling is generally well tolerated, but it is still a procedure that breaches the skin.
- Redness, warmth and tightness for one to two days.
- Flaking or peeling on days three to five as the outer layer sheds.
- Small pinpoint bleeding during the microneedling step, which stops quickly.
- Bruising or swelling, particularly on thinner skin under the eye.
- Infection — uncommon with sterile technique, and the reason aftercare instructions about touching the skin matter.
- Post-inflammatory pigmentation, a greater consideration in richer skin tones, mitigated by conservative settings and strict sun protection.
- Cold sore reactivation in those prone to it, when treating around the mouth.
- Underwhelming response. Not everyone responds equally. Skin quality treatments depend on your own biology, and that is not fully predictable in advance.

What people ask
Which product is used?

Is this the same as a vampire facial?
They belong to the same family of regenerative approaches but are not the same treatment. A PRP or PRF treatment draws your blood and concentrates your own platelets, then applies or injects that concentrate. This treatment does not involve a blood draw. Ariessence Pure PDGF+ is a manufactured, standardized topical serum, so the concentration is fixed rather than varying with your own platelet count on the day.
How is this different from filler?
Filler adds material to change shape. This treatment adds no volume at all — it aims to improve the quality of the skin itself. Someone with good facial structure and poor skin quality is a far better candidate for this than for filler.
When will I see something?
Gradually, if at all — usually over one to three months rather than within days, and often continuing after the final session. If you need a visible result in two weeks, this is the wrong treatment and you should be told so at consultation.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, and it usually is. It is offered alongside neurotoxin and dermal filler because it treats something neither of them touches. It cannot be combined with a chemical peel in the same visit.
Does it work for under-eye hollows?
It works for the crepey quality of under-eye skin. It does not fill a hollow. If the problem is a genuine volume deficit, this is not the answer, and combining a skin-quality treatment with a volume treatment is often the honest plan.
